You will be able to access local files from your PC/Mac on your Network Player via the StreamMagic app if you have a DLNA Server set up on your PC/Mac and configured correctly. We have some recommended steps on this here.
If you wish to access files from your PC via the Windows Media Player (WMP) DLNA server, we would suggest ensuring that media streaming is enabled on your PC by following the steps below:
- Select the Windows Start button on your Windows PC.
- Search for “Media Streaming Options” and click the result to open Control Panel in that section.
- Check whether the “Turn on media streaming” button has already been enabled. (If it has already been enabled, you should see a list of devices on your network including your Network Player, as shown below.)
After doing the above, you should then be able to see the WMP server within the StreamMagic app by navigating to 'Library' > 'Servers'.
It's also worth noting that if you see a "this device cannot access your media when your PC sleeps" message underneath your Network Player in the list above, this will mean that you'll be unable to access your PC Server when the PC is asleep or switched off, and the StreamMagic app won't have permission to 'see' the WMP server unless the PC is switched on.
