If your Melomania app is showing that the charging case won't charge above a certain percentage, even after trying different leads and adaptors, it may simply be due to how the app reads and updates the case’s battery level rather than a fault with the case itself.
Here’s how it works:
- The earbuds only report the charging case’s battery level at the moment they are removed from the case. This is the level shown in the app.
- Once connected, the earbuds do not continue to update the case battery level in real time.
- To see an updated case charge level, you’ll need to place the earbuds back into the case, let them connect briefly, and then remove them again. This prompts the app to display the case's current battery status.
It’s also worth noting:
- The battery level shown in the app reflects the last known charge level from when the buds were last connected.
- If your earbuds have been in heavy use, they may draw power from the charging case once returned to it, so the case's charge may decrease before the next time you check.
- The most accurate case charge level will always be the one shown just after the earbuds have been placed in the case and then removed.
If you’ve followed these steps and the app still consistently shows an inaccurate reading after repeated charging attempts, please get in touch with our support team, we’ll be happy to look into it further.
