Unfortunately we no longer have any replacement batteries available for the G5 wireless speaker. This product has been discontinued for some time now, and although we did manufacture a supply of spare batteries at the time of production, lithium-ion batteries unfortunately have a limited shelf life.
Over time, even when unused, lithium-ion cells degrade, and after a certain number of charge cycles or years in storage, they lose the ability to reliably hold a charge. Regrettably, the remaining batteries no longer offered sufficient storage life and had to be responsibly scrapped for safety and performance reasons. As a result, there will be no further availability of these replacement batteries moving forward.
That said, we want to offer reassurance that Cambridge Audio products are always built under the most stringent quality control procedures, using only the best components available. We take great pride in the durability and longevity of our products. There’s never been any intention of planned obsolescence, but as with all electronics, some components (particularly batteries) have natural limits, regardless of age or use.
It’s our policy to keep spare parts available for a minimum of eight years after we stop manufacturing a product. In most cases, we manage to support products far beyond that. However, there always comes a time when key components are no longer available to us, and in the case of these replacement batteries for this speaker, we’ve unfortunately reached that point.

The battery pack needs to support temperature detection (NTC 10K).
