As the Yoyo (L) has Chromecast built-in, you will need to download the Google Home app via the App Store (iOS devices) or Google Play Store (Android devices) to connect the speaker to your WiFi network.
You will also need a Google account to log into Google Home. You can create one from within the app if you do not already have one.
Once signed-in to the app, turn on your Yoyo (L) and wait for the WiFi symbol to change from red to flashing white.
- From the Google Home app home screen, navigate to 'Discover' via the symbol below found on the bottom of the page.
- The app will then automatically scan for Chromecast devices and find your Yoyo (L).
- After the Yoyo (L) has been found, tap ‘Set Up’.
- The app will then begin to connect to the device. This may take a minute or so to connect.
- The Yoyo (L) will make a sound to confirm it has connected to the app. Tap ‘Yes’ to continue.
- You will then be asked to select a location for your Yoyo (L).
- You can create a custom name for the room if you so wish. Scroll to the bottom of the list to add a custom name for your speaker’s location.
- Select your location name and tap ‘Next’.
- A list of the available WiFi networks will then appear. Once selected, you may be asked to enter your WiFi password.
- Select your network and tap ‘Next’.
Please note: Your device needs to be on the same network as the Yoyo (L).
- The Yoyo (L) will then begin to connect to your network. This may take a minute or so to complete. If you are having issues connecting to your Network, please read this troubleshooting article.
- Once connected to your WiFi, Google Home will link to your Yoyo (L) and the Wifi symbol on the speaker will turn green.
- Tap ‘Continue’.
- Your Yoyo (L) speaker will now be connected to your network.
- Tap ‘Continue’ to be presented with a tutorial on how to use Google Home (there is an option to skip).
You have now completed the network set up process.
